- Up to about 10 people: bean-to-cup with milk system, e.g. Philips 5400 or De'Longhi Dinamica
- 10–30 people: models with a large water tank and bean hopper, e.g. JURA E8 or Siemens EQ.6
- Small kitchenette: capsule machines need the least care
